Ceramics & Pottery
Dive into a rare and ancient art form that is hard to find in schools today! In this friendly and consistently fun group, if you have an idea, you can make it. You will learn classic techniques like coiling, slabbing, and even how to spin and throw on the potter’s wheel. Ready to mix media? You can learn how to print onto clay using lino cuts, or add your very own custom-designed transfers to fired ceramics. It’s an amazing way to take your ideas all the way from a paper sketch to a finished clay masterpiece.
Metalwork & Jewellery Making
This activity invites pupils from all year groups to join an intensive 12-week course. You don't need a single bit of prior experience to join—we assume you are starting completely from scratch! For the first eight weeks, friendly tutors will guide you through a new metal-fashioning technique each session. After that, the training wheels come off: you will be challenged to design and create a unique ring, necklace, or brooch of your very own.
Design Technology: Woodwork & Making
If you have a love for DT, this workshop is your ultimate playground. With expert guidance, you can design and craft almost anything you can dream up. Whether you want to make a small, delicate jewellery box or construct a full-sized coffee table for your living room, this activity gives you the space, tools, and freedom to build your woodworking ambitions.
