Our Girls' Football programme spans all three terms, providing access to high-quality training year-round.
Girls have the opportunity to train up to three times weekly, with selected players benefiting from additional small-group coaching as part of the Girls’ Football Academy. This inclusive programme offers both performance and participation teams, catering to players at different stages of development.
Bede’s fields four competitive teams that participate in ISFA leagues and national competitions such as the ESFA and ISFA tournaments, as well as local County Cups, giving our players extensive match experience across the season. Matches are filmed using VEO camera technology and analysed with HUDL software, allowing players to track their progress and refine their skills.
For those in the Girls’ Football Academy, we provide a robust support system with regular fitness testing, individual development plans, and strength and conditioning programmes. Our coaching staff includes UEFA B and FA Youth Advanced coaches, ensuring pupils receive the highest level of guidance and mentorship.
Further opportunities are provided by local football clubs: Lewes FC and Eastbourne Borough FC, our pupils benefit from exclusive opportunities, such as masterclasses, scouting sessions, and training with expert coaches.
Notable alumni who have progressed from Bede’s include Leilanni Nesbeth, Lelia Emersonand Eloise Eyre (former Brighton and Hove Albion academy and ISFA players), Drew Lawrence (Lewes FC), and most recently Lola Brown, who signed with Chelsea and currently represents England U17. Many other pupils have successfully secured football scholarships at universities in the USA, a testament to the programme’s strength in developing both elite talent and a lifelong love of the game.
