A standard weekly timetable features 24 lively lessons structured to stretch minds and inspire creativity across several wonderful subject areas:

• The Core Foundations (13.5 hours): Pupils dive deep into the essentials, enjoying 3.5 hours each of English and Maths, 4.5 hours of hands-on Science, and 2 hours of Modern Foreign Languages (or English as Another Language).
• Creativity Carousels (3 hours): Artistic spirits soar here! Pupils rotate through fantastic, hands-on modules exploring Ceramics, Photography, and Music, or Design Technology, Fine Art, and Graphics.
• The World (2.5 hours): A fascinating exploration of humanity, where pupils tackle big ideas in Politics, History (from the Suffrage movement to the Holocaust), Geography (Sustainability and Global Hazards), and inspiring concepts in Religion and Philosophy.
• The Flourish Project (2 hours): This unique programme brings the "4Cs"—Compassion, Curiosity, Conscientiousness, and Courage—to life. Pupils get to embrace media literacy, learn active citizenship, practice cookery, and even spend time in the school’s own fantastic zoo! Alternatively, they can choose dedicated "Options" like Computing, Drama, Latin, Classical Civilisation, or elite sports academies.
• PSHE (1 hour): A vital weekly pit-stop that equips pupils with the life skills, confidence, and self-care tools needed to navigate the modern world with a smile.

• Co-Curricular (6 hours): With three 2-hour slots a week, pupils choose from an eclectic menu divided into four vibrant zones: Sport, Languages & Culture (like Japanese or Classical Greek), Societies & Clubs (baking cakes or hanging out at the zoo!), and Performing & Creative Arts.
• Extended Curriculum: Pupils can jump into the After-School Academy for extra academic boosts, join the "42 Club" for thrilling Thursday enrichment, or enjoy late-stay prep with friends.

During the first half-term, personal tutors sit down one-to-one with every single Bedian, acting as cheerleaders and guides to unlock their hidden talents. With a supportive four-week target-setting cycle and a pledge to try a service, creative, and action activity each year, pupils are lovingly empowered to become the absolute best version of themselves!
