Overseas Admissions Process

Pupils are required to attend a Bede's Experience Day in Year 7.

The BE Days are published well in advance so families should be able to arrange a convenient date to attend.

Pupils applying in Year 8 run the risk of places not being available. If you have a problem attending a Bede's Experience Day, please contact our Admissions Team.

The day consists of a group task, group discussion, individual interviews, verbal and non-verbal reasoning tests, lunch and the chance to participate in an activity.

Pupils are required to attend an interview and complete verbal and non-verbal reasoning tests.

They will also be required to sit a UKiset test. Interviews can be conducted via Skype

This is a stand-alone one-year GCSE course for overseas pupils. There are a maximum of twenty places each year.

Pupils study Maths, English, Science, Economics, Art and their own language. Six GCSEs will enable the pupils to then access our A Level programme and also UK universities.

To gain access to this course, pupils will be interviewed, and must also complete a UKiset test.

Pupils are required to gain 5 or more IGCSEs at Level 6 or above and must also attend an interview. Interviews can be conducted via Skype. References and school reports will also be requested. 

Those pupils not taking IGCSEs or GCSEs, will be required to sit a UKiset test.
