Bede's celebrated the start of term with a series of Covid-Safe events for boarders last week.
During the week, our boarders enjoyed some 'speed friending' events, which enabled pupils to meet and build friendships with their fellow boarders in their Houses.
At the weekend, our annual Bede's Colour Run saw boarders from the Prep and Senior Schools take part in a fun-filled afternoon of fresh air and exercise within their House 'bubbles'.
Boarders at the Senior School also enjoyed some outdoor cinema screenings on Friday and Saturday evening (again, in House 'bubbles'), with Bohemian Rhapsody and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle proving to be firm favourites.
Ms Woollett, Deputy Head at Bede's, comments, "At Bede's, we welcome boarders from 39 countries around the world, and it's imperative that all of our pupils feel safe and welcome when they join and return to school. Alongside adopting the BSA Covid-Safe Charter earlier this year, we are keen to ensure that our pupils get as many opportunities as possible to build friendships and enjoy school life as safely as possible. My thanks go to all involved in helping to organise these events, and to all in our school community for following our Covid-Safe guidelines so stringently."
