Enrichment

Nowhere is Bede’s focus on holistic enrichment more evident than in its Sixth Form.

This can take many forms and includes a rich programme of Academic Enrichment but also encompasses options available through the Co-Curricular Programme, such as Debating or Model United Nations as well as a range of volunteering and service opportunities. Through embarking on these activities pupils can evidence their leadership experience, build their team work and inter-personal skills and dramatically improve their communication and presentation skills.

Bede’s also welcomes a wide variety of speakers to the School each year. Whilst some of our visiting speakers focus on specific academic topics or careers advice, many are invited in order to share life-changing experiences which can have a positive and quite profound impact, providing new and challenging perspectives.

In recent years we have welcomed John McCarthy, who spoke about his experiences as a hostage in Beirut, Chris Lubbe, former bodyguard to Nelson Mandela and Joe Townsend, the Royal Marine Commando and British Paralympian (pictured above).
